Just started our December book choice – Going Bovine by Libba Bray. I have to admit that I am really enjoying it….and I didn't think that I would. She is absolutely right on the mark describing the philosophy of much of what goes on in a high school. I am finding her writing witty and intelligent and surprising.

Okay, I loved it for a while until it got heavy-handed with the message -- comes off preachy at times and a bit too tranparent in places. Lost the character development once we got into the dream/roadtrip coma section. I think she lost control of the novel here and let it go on too long. Didn't really feel it when Cameron finally dies, I actually didn't really care all that much. What do you all think?
